DCE unveals logo DCE Championships 2009 Drum Corps Europe has unvealed the logo of the DCE European Champrionships 2009 in Kerkrade. The logo has been designed by graphic artist Peter Franken. DCE will use the logo on all Championships publications, including the popular patches.
The logo is based on last year's logo, but Franken made the logo a bit more dynamic, and added the silhouet of Europe to the logo. Public Relations Manager Dennis Naaktgeboren of DCE is happy with the new logo. "It's a very dynamic and professional design and we like it", he said.
The DCE European Championships 2009 will take place in Kerkrade - The Netherlands on Saturday, September 26th.

| Crossmen Rehearsal Part 2 So I was able to see Crossmen yesterday while on their way to Toledo (great show BTW). It was interesting getting a "first look" at a corp before their first competition. I will say I like the music and there are some interesting moments, there just isn't that intensity and determination like they are in a race against time. They are in a race, I just don't think the rookies realize it yet.

DCUK is looking for old yearbooks Were you part of the Drum Corps activity back in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s? Are you one of those people that hoards items from your youth - to one day show your kids how 'cool' you were? If you can answer yes to these questions, then you will probably be able to help DCUK in its search.
As part of a project currently being undertaken DCUK is looking to get hold of copies of past DCUK Yearbooks which they can borrow, copy and then return to their owner. They do already have some from within their own archives but have quite a few gaps and also some copies they hold have seen better times.
If you can help then please email chris@dcuk.org.uk or via the DCUK website. |
