The calm before the storm...
With only 2 days left until the next Caballero camp, a feeling of excitement fills my body...or maybe thats the school lunch I ate last Tuesday?? Anyway, I hate the days leading up to a camp, because thats all I'll ever think about. During my prep periods at school when Im supposed to be having parent/teacher conferences, grading papers, and checking my voicemail is spent taping up sticks, memorizing music, and searching the school stock room for extra batteries for my "Dr.Beat".
This camp is looking to be even better than the previous two rehearsals of the Mission 06:60 season, and for several reasons:
- I have ALL my music memorized
- We're getting more new music
- 3 more snare vets from the 2004 season are coming back (that makes 16 snares for those of you who are counting at home)
- I just saved a bunch of money on my car insuran...ok, that joke's getting a little old, sorry!!
Anyway, the next 2 days of school will officially suck ass...Thanks Cabs!!!!
Come and check out what I'm talking about at camp this SATURDAY, JANUARY 7th and 8th at HAWTHORNE HIGH SCHOOL in beautiful HAWTHORNE, NJ...right past the toll booths and the Dunkin Donuts, cant miss it. Practice starts at 10:00am.

ps - A recent comment asked me if we intend on keeping all 16 snares...to answer that question, I would just like to say...no, we're looking for 20, sucka!
